Start a call
- 1Click Chat in the sidebar and open the person or group you want to call.
- 2Click Voice call (the phone) or Video call (the camera) at the top right of the chat.
- 3Workel rings everyone in the chat. The call opens full screen and shows Ringing…, then Connected or In call · 3 people.
- To call a whole project, open the project's chat from the Chat list (the project's Chat tab has no call button).

Answer a call
An incoming call shows a banner at the top with the caller's name and Incoming voice call… or Incoming video call…. Click Accept to join or Decline. To join a call that's already going, answer its ring.
During a call
Calls can't share your screen or be recorded yet. To show your screen, record a clip.
The first time you call, your browser asks to use your microphone and camera: allow it, or the others won't hear or see you. If the call can't connect, Workel says Could not start the call; check your connection and try again.
- Mute and Unmute your microphone.
- Camera off and Camera on.
- Leave call hangs up. The others stay connected.
- While you're in a call, the call buttons in other chats say Already in a call.
Record a clip
- 1Open Clips (app.workel.com/w/your-workspace/clips) and click New clip.
- 2Choose Screen only, Screen + microphone, Screen + camera or Camera only.
- 3Use Pause, Resume and Stop recording while you record. When you stop, the clip uploads and says Clip saved.
- 4Hover the clip and click Copy share link. Anyone with the link can watch it, without signing in.
- On pricing, clips come with Max, Team and Lifetime.
