Search
- 1Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, or click Search in the bar on the right.
- 2Type what you're looking for. Narrow it with the tabs: All, Tasks, Docs, Projects, Files or Folders.
- 3Click a result to go straight to it. Press Esc to close search.
- With nothing typed, Recently visited lists the pages you opened last.
- On the Files page, Cmd+K searches files instead. Inside a doc or a task description, it's left to the editor.
Keyboard shortcuts
Workel doesn't have a shortcuts list in the app yet, so here they are. Single keys work when you're not typing in a field.
- Everywhere: Cmd+K or Ctrl+K opens search; Esc closes most panels and pop-ups.
- Calendar: M, W, D and A switch to Month, Week, Day and Agenda; T goes to today; N adds an event; S shows or hides the side panel; the left and right arrows move a period.
- Notifications panel: J or ↓ and K or ↑ move between notifications; E marks one read or unread.
- Tasks: Enter adds the task you're typing. In a task description, Cmd+B, Cmd+I and Cmd+U are bold, italic and underline (Ctrl on Windows).
- Posts and comments in Activity: Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter posts.
- Dashboard: Esc finishes editing widgets.
- Desktop app: Shift+Cmd+Space (Ctrl+Shift+Space on Windows) opens Add anything from anywhere on your computer.
Search inside one place
When you know where something is, each page has its own search, which looks only there:
- Chat: Search messages filters your conversations, and Search in chat at the top of a conversation finds a message in it.
- Files: Search files… at the top of the left panel.
- Pages in a project: the magnifier opens Search docs….
- Tasks: Search tasks on the Tasks page, or the magnifier in a project's toolbar.
- Activity: Search activity finds posts and updates.
